Copyright Surely Caesar/2003

For lovers of Caesar Salad and all things related, with a sense of humour. Includes recipes, Caesar salad products, related articles, cartoons, information about ingredients, and a place to send in your Caesar recipes. This month’s article: “The Health Benefits of Garlic”, includes a recipe for a Garlic and Brie Appetizer.

An innovative site that offers the latest in how to prepare and serve today’s most popular salad dressing - all made-from-scratch.

Whether you are a well-seasoned gourmande, or attempting to make your very first Caesar Salad you won’t be able to deny the universal appeal that Caesar salad has today. Surelycaesar.com shows you the basics of how to put together an authentic, made-from-scratch salad whatever your skill and knowledge level.

The Salad Recipes page connects visitors to a variety of recipes geared to your own personal preference. The Traditional Caesar is suitable for those who want to make an authentic type of Caesar salad with a strong garlic flavour, and need enough for a large group. Those looking for a recipe suitable for a smaller group, that is still of the original, authentic type will like Shirley’s Caesar This recipe is based on my own, personally developed Caesar salad recipe. It’s garlicky, and suitable for a group of 4, or 5. Those concerned about fat content will want to try the Healthy Caesar. This recipe has been developed for those with coronary artery disease concerns who want a light, and healthy diet that is not without flavour. It is also suitable for those who are health conscious and just wanting to keep the amount of fat in their diet to a minimum. A variation on the original, the Roasted Garlic Caesar Salad uses a whole head of garlic roasted in the oven rather than the conventional clove or two minced, or rubbed into the side of the bowl.

There is also a Caesar Steak which involves flavouring a sirloin steak with a Caesar-type marinade. It may sound a bit risky, but is worth trying if you are in love with the Caesar favour - it is one of my husband’s favourites. Non-Caesar Salad Recipes include Spinach and Greek salad. Both are also my own original recipes developed over many years.

This season Surely Caesar is excited to introduce a new page to the site entitled Articles. A variety of short pieces will be featured on a regular basis, all having to do with Caesar salad, or any other salad venture relevent to the site. Web surfers and budding authors are invited to submit their own samples of written work that contains relevant content. If their work is chosen to appear on the page authors will be given credit (if they wish). Remember, any type of “salad material” may be considered including educational pieces, short stories, even the odd bit of humour - they just have to have something to do with Caesar salad, or salad.
